Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure

Gorky Park was the first world-class park in Russia. There is space for recreation, sports, dance, yoga, outdoor games, space for life. Free entrance, Wi-Fi coverage, zones created in the spirit of the latest design trends, new food outlets from the best restaurant groups in Moscow, a well-thought-out program of events, ecological approach and attention to people – all this in a short time has turned Gorky Park into a new epicenter of life in the capital city.

A walk through the park, of course, is best to start at the central entrance. You can reach it on foot in about 5-7 minutes from the metro station “Oktyabrskaya”, if you walk along the left side of the Krymsky Val towards the bridge and the river. It will take approximately the same amount of time to get there from the metro station “Park Kultury” – you will have to walk across the bridge, now on the right side. In front of the main entrance, as well as on the embankment behind the Krymsky Bridge there is an eternally full, but free parking lot.

.

Now fashion installations are held here. For example, for several months the openwork gazebo was a platform for yarn-bombing, a kind of beautiful street art, when objects are tied with dense multicolored threads. Anyone could take part in the process, and experts and designers taught everyone how to knit with needles and crochet. The openwork gazebo was filled with wool soft toys, scarves and socks for Christmas presents.

.
