Monino settlement
Monino is an urban-type settlement in Shchelkovsky District, Moscow Region, located 23 km east of Moscow. Monino is home to the Central Museum of the Russian Air Force, which displays 186 airplanes and helicopters, more than 300 models of aircraft, and 11,700 historical photographs. Flying exhibits are arranged in open areas, as well as in hangars and exhibition halls. Since 2003, spectacular air shows have been held in Monin every summer. In addition to the Air Force Museum, the village’s attractions include the Museum of Military Food Service, as well as the Church of St. George the Victorious.
