Kazan Kremlin

Kazan Kremlin is a fortress located in the very “heart” of the city. The complex occupies an impressive territory and resembles an open-air museum. The towers and walls of the Kremlin have seen the Bulgar princes, warriors of Genghis Khan and Ivan the Terrible himself. Inside the fortress is a peculiar town with Orthodox and Muslim features. Syuyumbike Tower, Transfiguration Cathedral, Kul Sharif Mosque – the structures create a special atmosphere.

Entrance to the Kazan Kremlin is free. You can feel the atmosphere of the past on any day: weekdays are suitable for secluded walks – there are few people, and on holidays and weekends the number of visitors increases several times. The guests spend about 1.5 hours for a sightseeing tour. But if you want to visit all the museums and buildings, it will take about 5 times more time – so tourists stretch the examination of the Kremlin for several visits.
