State Memorial Museum of A. V. Suvorov
Suvorov Museum is located in St. Petersburg, in a small gray castle with a high red roof on the corner of Tavricheskaya and Kirov Streets. The museum was founded in 1900, by the 100th anniversary of the commander’s death, and was inaugurated on November 13, 1904, by the 175th anniversary of Suvorov’s birth. More than 100,000 artifacts related to the life and activities of the Generalissimo are exhibited in the museum’s funds. The exposition occupies 5 halls. The largest, the Central Hall, is decorated with a high stained glass window with the image of Suvorov surrounded by military attributes. Under it his personal weapons and numerous orders are exhibited. Next to the Suvorov Museum on May 29, 2018, the opening of the Museum of the tin soldier, the first and so far the only one in Russia.
