General Information

The red and white hues of the rocks are age-old sedimentary rocks, while the pink and black are volcanic formations from numerous volcanic eruptions that occurred in ancient times. In addition to the abundance of cacti, you will be impressed by the famous Joshua Tree. The plant got its name from the early Mormon settlers, who compared the intricately sprawling branches of the plant to the arms of Jesus from the Old Testament stretched out in ecstatic prophecy.
