Peace Park in Kolomna

Peace Park in Kolomna is the largest park area of the city and a popular recreation place for Kolomna residents and tourists. The park has the shape of a rectangle and is bounded by Lenin, Gagarin, Kalinin and Dobrolyubova streets. It began to be created in the difficult post-war years, and almost all residents of Kolomna took part in the development of the new park. Regardless of age and profession, citizens came here to plant trees and shrubs, dig up the ground for flowerbeds and lawns.

Nowadays, the Peace Park is called the green heart of Kolomna. There are 4 thousand trees and 30 thousand shrubs, seedlings of which were brought to the ancient Russian city from different parts of the country. Mass festivals, colorful fairs, ecological actions, sports and musical programs are held here all year round.

Almost all visitors pay attention to the high park gates decorated with elegant colonnade and stucco. The attraction of the Peace Park in Kolomna is also a large fountain, the diameter of which reaches up to 35 meters, and powerful jets of water rise to the height of a nine-story building. The fountain looks especially spectacular at night in the rays of multicolored illumination. In summer time near the fountain is organized improvised reading room, where you can leaf through magazines, read books to children, play board games and participate in contests.

In summer, all the attractions of the Peace Park in Kolomna are open from 11.00 to 21.00. The most popular is the Ferris wheel, with which you can rise to a height of 26 meters and admire the vastness of the green park and the opening streets of the city. In summer, under the trees there is a rope park for those who like to test themselves overcoming difficult obstacles. Stretched rope “roads” have varying degrees of difficulty, and can be traveled by people with minimal physical fitness, as well as experienced athletes.

Passing a simple route for children – “Hanging Houses” – costs 320 rubles per hour and 500 rubles for the whole day. One descent on the rope “Road of Trolls” costs 150 rubles, and twice – 200 rubles. For the passage of an extreme route of increased complexity, you need to pay 500 rubles for one pass and 1200 rubles for the whole day. A complex ticket for an adult and a child costs 1500 rubles.

Peace Park in Kolomna is located in the city center. It can be reached on foot from the railway stations “Golutvin” or “Kolomna” in 20 minutes. In addition, travelers reach the Peace Park by buses #14, 17 and 34 and shuttle buses #12, 13 and 15 (stop “Park”).”
