Museum of Kuznechnaya Sloboda
Museum Kuznechnaya Sloboda is a private museum of blacksmithing and folk crafts, opened on February 13, 2010 in Kolomna. The museum’s exposition consists of forged, cast and wooden items from different eras and is based on the collection of Ilya Georgievich Lebedev. The collection was started about 20 years ago, and at the moment it has more than 7000 exhibits. Blacksmith’s Sloboda keeps armor and weapons of warriors of the past centuries, as well as items that have long disappeared from households – ancient scales, irons, kettles. Visiting the complex usually takes tourists 1.5-2 hours. As for the entrance tickets, there is no entrance fee to the museum as such. Visitors at their discretion leave money in the donation box.
