Khrenovoye village

Khrenovoye village is the administrative center of the rural settlement of the same name in Bobrovsky District of Voronezh Oblast. This place became famous thanks to the Khrenovo horse breeding plant. Here horses of the breed Orlovsky trotter were bred. At the end of the XIX century, the settlement turned into a health resort: by decree of Nicholas II, the Khrenovo sanatorium was founded here, where patients were treated with koumiss. Khrenovoye village is the birthplace of Russia’s first Olympic champion, figure skater Nikolai Alexandrovich Panin-Kolomenkin.
