Fifth Avenue

Fifth Avenue is a street in the heart of Manhattan that is also a colorful symbol of New York City. Dodgingly cutting the neighborhood into two halves, the famed avenue represents the beginning of beginnings – it is from here that all the city’s streets are numbered. Those that run westward show the prefix west in their name, while those that run eastward show the prefix east. Prominent Avenue starts at Washington Square and runs north, framing the east side of Central Park. But beyond its unique geographic position – the wrapping – the value is in the filling, i.e. the content of the street. It’s home to boutiques and stores crowned with laurels around the world by labels and corporations.
