Dzhankhot attracts many travelers by the beauty of the coastline. In this part of the Black Sea coast, rock strata plunge into the sea with ledges up to 50-70 meters high. In some places, layers of limestone ribs protrude outward, and the sea water rolls over long limestone ridges. From the height of the cliffs, such areas of the coast resemble the teeth of a giant comb.
.‘ Coastal Cliffs‘From Dzhankhot you can make interesting trips along the coast both north and south. The most popular is the southern route to a unique natural attraction – the remnant rock Parus, standing not far from the coastal resort Praskoveyevka.
.
The way to the rock takes 1.5-2 hours (3.5 km) and runs along the edge of the sea. Paths along the shore does not exist, and you have to walk on small and large pebbles, so all travelers are recommended before the walk to wear sturdy shoes and do not forget to take a supply of drinking water. And one more precaution – go on such a trip should be in good weather. During a storm at sea are very high waves, and the pebble strip under the rocks can be flooded.

In these small picturesque valleys, tourists put up tent cities. However, most of the streams flowing into the sea dry up in mid-summer.
.
By the sea you can see beautifully blooming plants and crabs running over the pebbles. Close to the shore swim jellyfish and flocks of fish. On the rocks like to dry their wings cormorants. During a walk along the sea you can always take a break, swim in a favorite place, and then continue again.
.
Ostantsovaya rock got its name because of its shape – it is very similar to a spread sail. The natural monument was formed as a result of long-term erosion. For many thousands of years, the sun, winds and the force of sea waves destroyed the less durable rocks, and now before travelers is the preserved part of the rock. It rises to a height of 30 meters and is up to one meter wide. There is a large through hole in the rock, but the reason why it was formed is unknown. Perhaps it happened naturally, or maybe the hole is the work of man.
.‘ Sail Rock‘ ‘From the rock only 15 minutes walk to the resort village Praskoveevka. From here you can return to Dzhankhot by the already familiar route along the seashore or you can drive up by bus or cab.
