Dulber Palace

Dulber Palace is located on the South Coast of Crimea, in Koreiz. The castle, reminiscent of a magical oriental palace from the fairy tales “One Thousand and One Nights”, was built in 1897, in the Crimean estate of Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich, the uncle of Emperor Nicholas II. In translation from the Tatar language Dulber means “beautiful”, “lovely”, and the palace fully corresponds to its name. The asymmetrical white and blue building has crenellated walls, carved stone and mosaic inserts, and is crowned with domes. Dulber Palace looks aesthetically pleasing and bright, it is surrounded by a park and mountains. There is a fountain on the terrace leading to the coast, and a prayer wall nearby.
