General information

Today Donbass Arena is considered one of the best stadiums in the world. Largely due to the success of the soccer club Shakhtar and the construction of this ultra-modern complex, Ukraine was able, together with Poland, to obtain the right to host the European Football Championship in 2012. It should be noted that it was Ukraine that became the first of all CIS countries to be entrusted to host such an important event as the European Mundial. Attempts of other countries to get such a right were unsuccessful.

The stadium is located in the most picturesque area of Donetsk, in Leninsky Komsomol Park. .

The developers decided to create a stadium with a rather original shape, similar to a flying saucer. The peculiarity of the stadium is a fully glazed facade, but the night illumination allows the stadium to sparkle like a diamond. Therefore, immediately after the opening the new stadium in Donetsk was nicknamed the diamond of Donbass. Today it is truly the pride of the city of Donetsk.

.

A distinctive feature of the interior design is considered as such the absence of stands, and all spectators sit directly in one bowl. This gives an excellent opportunity to flawlessly see the events taking place on the soccer field, absolutely from any point of the spectator area. In addition, the Donbass Arena stadium has about 200 seats designed for people with disabilities.

.

The main Donetsk stadium has a developed infrastructure, including a huge fitness club “Fresh”, many bars and dozens of fast food outlets. These rooms can also be conveniently used for various corporate events outside the game days.
