Altos de Chavón
Altos De Chavón is a town of artists and artisans in the Dominican Republic, an exact replica of a Spanish village that existed in the 15th and 16th centuries. The construction of this town began in 1976, and was only completed 16 years later, in 1992. In Altos De Chavona you can get acquainted with the historical life, there is an art museum and a reconstruction of the Greek amphitheater, where concerts are held. The town is located in the Casa de Campo resort on the steep banks of the Chavón River.
