Ulun-Danu Temple
Ulun Danu Temple is located in central Bali, on the west side of Lake Bratan. It is the second most important temple on the island after Pura Besakih. The image of Ulun Danu can be seen on the 50,000 rupiah bill. Travelers who have been lucky enough to be near the temple are unanimous in their opinion that the views leave a strong impression. The water comes very close to the shrine, which makes it seem as if Pura Ulun-Danu is floating on the lake surface. The scenery is complemented by the mountains, acting as a picturesque backdrop for the temple and shaded by sunlight at sunrise and sunset.
