Sebezhsky National Park

Sebezhsky National Park unites forests and lakes of the Sebezh region, including the inter-lake area of Lake Sebezhsky and Lake Orono, Lake Osyno and Lake Necheritsa. In the west, the reserve ends at the border with Latvia. Its area is 50 021 hectares. On the territory of Sebezhsky National Park there are 650 rare plant species, many of which are listed in the Red Book; there are more than 200 varieties of birds, bear, fox, elk and other animals. There are excursion routes for the visitors of the park: walking and cognitive ecological trail “Big Ridge”, educational ecological trail, sightseeing bus and pedestrian excursion, boat excursion around lakes Ozeriava and Necheritsa, walking excursion around lake Osyno, special day and evening bus tours. There are also water excursions along the system of lakes, which are a part of the way “from Varangians to Greeks”. On the territory of Senezhsky National Park allocated areas for tent cities, equipped with everything necessary for vacationers.
