Salikh Saidashev Museum
The Saidashev Museum is located in Kazan, on Gorky Street, in a two-story house built in the early 20th century. It is dedicated to the life and work of Salikh Zamaletdinovich Saydashev, an outstanding Tatar composer, founder of professional Tatar music, creator of a new genre in the national art – musical drama. The great musician lived and created in one of the apartments of this house. The museum’s collection includes the composer’s personal belongings, autographs, notes, photographs, phono and gramophone recordings, audio and video tapes, musical instruments and objects of the epoch. Saidashev’s original belongings are exhibited in the memorial “White Room”.
