Ocean Drive

Ocean Drive is the waterfront that is the heart of the Miami Beach resort (from 1st to 11th Streets), which stretches along the Atlantic coastline as if independent of the rest of the city. Along the boardwalk are many restaurants, cafes, bars and hotels with acid-neon signs. The main element of decoration here is a huge number of palm trees swaying in the breeze coming from the Atlantic Ocean.

General Information

Ocean Drive promenade invariably attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world. All local establishments are open from morning until late at night, so quietness on Ocean Drive is rare. Particularly impressive is the huge selection of dishes served in restaurants: almost all cuisines of the world are represented here. The main highlight here is the Cuban coffee “cafe cubano” – better than here, it is not prepared anywhere else.

Ocean Drive mainly serves as a gathering place for the important peacocks. The fusion of waves, sunshine, and exhibitionist beauty is what has made South Beach (or, as it’s also known, SoBe) world-famous.
