Mount Snowdon
Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, reaching 1,085 meters, it is surrounded by other horseshoe peaks. Snowdonia National Park was established in 1951 to protect the environment of the area. Hundreds of thousands of tourists arrive each year to climb Snowdon, with the summit being reached on foot or via the mountain railroad that runs to the summit from Llanberis. The views from here are spectacular, although at any time of year clouds can suddenly cover the mountains, so be sure to check the weather forecast before you start your trip. There are six hiking trails of varying grades, and the climb to the summit takes almost five hours.

Snowdon is the center of the park, and the park area stretches 56 km from east to west and 80 km from north to south. There are also hiking trails on the lower levels, and beautiful forests and rivers to admire below. If mountain climbing is not to your liking, the park offers other outdoor activities such as river rafting or pony rides. Mountain biking is another hobby of visitors, and the park has special trails of varying difficulty levels. Snowdonia has many lovely towns and villages, and it’s easy to find a place to stop and eat.
