Mayreau Island

Mayreau Island is part of the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is part of the Grenadines archipelago. Mero is located at the southernmost part of the Grenadines chain, between Canouan and Union. It is the smallest inhabited island of the group, with an area of only 2.1 km². It has a single settlement, the village of Old Wall. Mero Island is home to about 300 people who were former salt miners and are now in the tourism business.
