Halmahera Sea
Halmahera Sea is an inter-island sea of the Pacific Ocean, between the Halmahera Islands, Obi and Cendrawasih Peninsula (New Guinea Island). The area is 75 thousand km², the average depth is 747 m, the greatest depth is 2072 m. Surface water temperature is from 25.7 °С in August to 28.6 °С in May. Salinity 34-34.6 ‰. The main port is Sorong (New Guinea Island).
