Gorenki Estate

Gorenki Estate is located in Balashikha, on the south side of the Enthusiastov highway, on the left bank of the Gorenki River. This territory was first mentioned in the scribe book of the Moscow uyezd for 1576-1578. In the second half of the XVIII – early XIX centuries the estate near Moscow belonged to the family of Count Razumovsky. Under A. K. Razumovsky the Gorenki estate reached its heyday. The palace was completely rebuilt according to the project of A. A. Menelas, and a rich park with a cascade of 7 ponds with islands and bridges was laid out. After the death of the owner, Gorenki fell into decay and the famous orangery perished. The estate itself was sold to merchants who organized in its halls paper spinning and weaving production, which caused irreparable damage to the building.
