Camp Garden
Camp Garden is a park in Kirovsky district of Tomsk, on the right bank of the Tom River, occupying an area of 40 hectares. This place got its name due to the fact that in the XVIII-XIX centuries, camps of the Tomsk Infantry Regiment were located here. The central alley of the park is a memorial complex with a monument to Tomsk soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. In the eastern part of the Camp Garden until the mid-1950s there were military warehouses, later the territory was planted with trees. In the summer of 2010, a platform was arranged on the Lower Terrace, where concerts are now held. In 2017, one of the old buildings on the territory of the water intake station, built in 1904, was restored. In the future it is planned to house a museum, the exhibits of which will be sewer manholes, shut-off valves, pumps and other equipment that at different times served the needs of the Tomsk water supply.
