Bulgar Mosque
Bulgar Mosque is located in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan. The cult building was built in 1991-1993 on behalf of the leadership of Tatarstan according to the project of architects V. P. Loginov and E. I. Prokofiev. I. Prokofiev. The opening and the name of the mosque Bulgar are timed to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars. The building belongs to the type of 2-storey 2-hall domed mosque with diagonal-asymmetrical minaret. The mosque Bulgar is made in the style of rationalistic architecture with separate entrances and floor halls for men and women. The whole complex is built of white silicate bricks. The religious institution harmoniously neighbors with residential panel houses and is active – there is a prayer 5 times a day, as well as all Islamic ritual events.
