History of Arkhipo-Osipovka
The territory of modern Arkhipo-Osipovka has long been inhabited by Adygs. As a result of the complicated annexation of the Caucasus to the Russian Empire, the indigenous inhabitants left here, and Russian military men settled in the Mikhailovsky fortification. When the conflict was resolved, in 1864 the village of Vulanskaya was built on the deserted place after the name of the nearest river. Soon the sprawling stanitsa became a village, and in 1889 it received the status of a village and was renamed into Arkhipo-Osipovka in memory of the feat of the Russian soldier. In 1840 during the attack of Circassians on Mikhailovsky fortification he blew up the powder cellar and died together with the attackers. Arkhip Osipov was forever included in the lists of the regiment, in our time in memory of him installed a 6-meter cross, visible from different points of Arkhipo-Osipovka.

After 1917 it was nationalized, and since then Arkhipo-Osipovka became a popular vacation spot. Interest in it especially grew in the 70s, when the modernization of sanatoriums and rest houses was carried out, new medical buildings were erected.
