Yugyd va National Park

Yugyd Va National Park is located on the territory of the Komi Republic. It is the largest protected natural area in Russia – the total area of the park is 1,891,701 hectares, including the water area of 21,421 hectares. The territory of the Yugyd Va Park is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Virgin Forests of the Komi Republic”. The name of the reserve, translated from the Komi language, means “light water”. It was established on April 23, 1994. The excursion for tourists includes acquaintance and communication with the indigenous population of this part of the Urals, riding on reindeer sleds, walking on the tundra, visiting lakes and climbing mountains.
