Sand grains are also used to create glass and polish silver.

At the northern end of Whitehaven Beach is the amazing Heal Inlet, where at high tide the waves and sand mix to create incredible blue and white patterns. Surrounded by National Park, White Paradise Beach looks directly into the waters of the Great Barrier Reef, which is why it has become one of the favorites of snorkeling fans.
