Tivoli Gardens
Tivoli Park in Copenhagen is one of the city’s favorite places and a famous tourist attraction. It is located on an area that was once part of the defensive fortifications around Copenhagen. In 1841, King Christian VIII agreed to establish an amusement park here to “provide the masses with suitable amusement and amusement”, and this is what Tivoli has been famous for since the day it opened.

About 5 million guests visit the park each year – more than any other tourist attraction in the country. Tivoli is open until midnight all week and until 1 a.m. on weekends, with old and young alike flocking here with equal joy. With thousands of brightly colored flowers and flowerbeds, people enjoy strolling along the paths under the old shade trees before heading to the cafes or restaurants, many of which are among the city’s most stylish establishments. There are daily performances on the outdoor stage, and at night the park is illuminated by thousands of colored lights reflecting in the ponds and canals. The lake looks especially spectacular when fireworks are going off. To admire it, come any weekend in the summer.
.Tivoli is very popular with children, here they can have fun in a traditional amusement park with roller coasters and carousels. In winter, the lake freezes over and dozens of skaters in colorful hats and jackets take to the ice. At Christmas, the park reopens, and while the kids have fun, the adults will also find entertainment in the many pavilions.
