Sun Clock in Belgorod
The sundial in Belgorod is a beautiful city landmark. The clock is noticeable from afar, because of which it has become a place at which people usually make appointments. The author of the 11-meter composition, made of granite and bronze, is Belgorod sculptor Taras Kostenko. The sculpture was opened on August 4, 2008, to the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belgorod from fascist troops. To determine the time on the sundial can be accurate to within 10 minutes, but only in clear weather.
