Raa Atoll comprises 15 islands with permanent local populations: Alifushi, Angolhitheema, Dhuwaafaru, Faina, Hulhudhuffaaru, Inguraidhoo, Innamaadhoo, Kinolhas, Maakurathu, Maduvvaree, Meedhoo, Rasgetheema, Rasmaadhoo, Ungoofaaru and Vaadhoo.
.One of the first places to visit in the archipelago is the island of Rasgetheima, made famous by numerous legends and myths. The excursions here are quite interesting. For example, according to one of the legends, the family of the king who ruled the archipelago in the distant times lived here. The best thing to do on Alifushi Island is to lie on the beach under the hot sun, swim in the cool sea water or have a romantic picnic. A visit to the capital of Raa Atoll, Ungufaaru, will convince you that it is the fishing center of the entire resort. You can also spend a few pleasant hours fishing on Midupparu Island, or go on a fascinating excursion into the very bowels of the uninhabited islands.
