One of the main tasks that actors and the theater as a whole face is creative growth – in other words, further improvement, to which, as we know, there is no limit. So that the artists do not get stale, do not drown in the everyday routine and never stop learning.

.

Since 1993 and to date in the theater was created fifty performances. Of these, the current repertoire of “Pyotr Fomenko’s Workshop” includes 34. The most, perhaps, benchmark production is “One Absolutely Happy Village” based on the story by the Russian Soviet writer, playwright and screenwriter Boris Borisovich Vakhtin. In it shone incomparable actress of theater and cinema, performer of romances Polina Agureeva. This work, recognized as one of the best in Pyotr Fomenko’s creative collection, takes place in the small hall. Why not in the main hall, you may ask? The plot is such that there is a need to awaken in each spectator a sense of involvement in what is happening on stage, which would be more difficult to do in a large hall. And judging by the fact that this play has been successfully running for twelve years, it has succeeded in achieving this.

.

What other stops can be seen today on the stage of the theater? This is “War and Peace,” “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, “Olympia”, “Bespridannitsa”, “Ulysses”, “Notes of the deceased” and others. It should not be overlooked that the productions of “Peter Fomenko’s Workshop” have repeatedly become nominees not only for Russian but also international awards, for example, they were awarded the national theater award “Golden Mask”, the Stanislavsky Award, “Crystal Turandot.”

Yes, we didn’t misspoke: foreign guests can watch the productions without any problems understanding what is happening on stage. More than that: the same opportunity is available to people suffering from hearing impairment. And this is all thanks to the system of titling of performances, developed by the theater itself. How did this become possible? In fact, it’s simple.

.

Before the start of the performance, the audience receives a tablet, on the screen of which will appear captions of actors’ dialogues. Moreover, in the language that the viewer chooses. The captioning service is available for almost all productions in the main hall. Peter Fomenko’s Workshop does not intend to stop there: the list of titled productions, as well as the number of available translation languages, is constantly growing.

.

How to use the titling service? There is nothing complicated about it either. The viewer only needs to clarify information about the performances for which translations have already been prepared. You can do this on the official website of the theater fomenko.theater.ru or directly at the box office.
