Bulguksa Temple

Bulguksa Temple is a Buddhist monastery in Korea, in Gyeongsang-Pukdo Province, 13 kilometers southeast of Gyeongju city. The monastery complex includes 7 sites on the country’s National Treasures list, including the stone pagodas of Tabothap and Seokkatthap, Cheonggyo Bridge, and two gilded bronze statues of Buddha. In 1995, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Seokkuram Grotto. Pulguksa Temple is located on the slopes of Mt. Toham. The religious structure is the main temple of the Chogye Order, which was founded about 1,200 years ago in the early feudal Korean state of Silla.
