Petrovskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg
Petrovskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg runs along the right bank of the Neva River on Petrogradsky Island, from Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt and Troitskaya Square to Petrogradskaya Embankment. In 1703, the first residential building in the city was built here – a palace intended for Peter the Great. During a walk along Petrogradskaya Embankment tourists can see the following sights of the Northern Capital: the house of Peter the Great, the cruiser “Aurora”, granite lions Shi-Tza, the palace of the uncle of Nicholas II Prince Nikolai Nikolaevich, the house-commune of Politkatorzhan, the house of the Baltic Fleet, the frigate “Grace”, the house “Noblemen’s Nest”.
