Palm Jumeirah
Palm Jumeirah is the world’s largest artificial island, shaped like the petals of a palm tree. It is located in the Persian Gulf near the coast of Dubai (UAE) and is connected to it by transportation. On the stems of the palm tree are hotels, on each of the leaves are expensive private villas of the rich and famous, and each villa has its own access to the water. The structure is part of the Isle of Palms complex. It is one of the most beautiful and grandiose engineering projects of our time.
.The island is created from natural materials – stone and sand, which are held together thanks to the builders’ fine calculations, as well as the protection of a nearly three-meter breakwater made of the same raw materials. The Jumeirah Palm consists of a trunk and branches, surrounded by a stone belt that protects it from erosion. Visiting this attraction is one of the highlights of the trip for tourists.

Sights and attractions
Some of the highlights of the island are the Aquaventure water park – the best in Europe and the Middle East, the Dolphin Bay Dolphinarium, the Lost Chambers Marine Aquarium, and the Atlantis, The Palm hotel itself, which is home to these attractions.
Water sports enthusiasts should visit the local beach for kitesurfing. Al Mamzar and Jumeirah Beach is a beach and park area that is a good place to relax either alone or with a couple or family. There are plenty of leisure options for tourists to choose from: spa and fitness, boat trips, hotel entertainment, helicopter tours, nightclubs, museums, diving courses and so on.
.A monorail with small cars runs along the trunk of Palma, allowing for a trip that is 4 stops long. It is also possible to get around the island by cab.

Problems of the island
Up close, the Palm Jumeirah complex is not at all what it looks like from afar. From a bird’s eye view, the Palm looks luxurious. And on the ground, everything is very bleak and lifeless. And because of the fact that the water in the canals stagnates, there is a vile odor in the air, as if something decomposes. So buying a villa on the leaves of Palm Jumeirah is not the most profitable investment of a few million dollars.
