Ordinskaya cave is the longest underwater cave in Russia and at the same time one of the largest gypsum caves in the world. In Eurasia, it is second only to Optimistic Cave, located in the Ternopil region of Ukraine.

The so-called dry part of the cave is 300 meters long. It is especially beautiful here in winter, when stalactites, stalagmites, bizarre crystals are formed. The sight is truly fantastic. And Ordinskaya cave is not inferior in beauty to the famous Kungur ice cave.

Grottoes, palatial halls, underwater lakes opening up before your eyes – the sight is breathtaking! At the bottom piled huge debris from the ceiling, which should not be surprised: the rock is fragile. The water is stunning in its blueness and transparency, the beam of the flashlight goes far beyond 50 meters, lost in the depths. But the diver must move very carefully, so as not to muddy the water, otherwise nothing will be visible and he can lose orientation. The walls are covered with gypsum dust, and at the bottom there is gray silt. On the walls of the cave you can see bokoplava crustaceans and shrimp.
.In the Orda Cave there are several halls with above-water space – here you can freely breathe air and rest. In the long, similar to the dark tunnels of the subway there are side branches. Many of them are still unexplored today. The area of underwater lakes, according to some researchers, is about 50 thousand square meters. Cellars, rocks, tunnels, figure eights – the beauty of the underwater kingdom really surpasses all imaginable expectations!
.Like all mysterious places, Ordinskaya cave has its own legend – guardian spirit. More precisely, a guardian spirit. Deep sea diving is a sport, as you realize, dangerous. It requires serious physical and moral preparation. The minimum weight of the diver’s equipment is about 100 kg. Caves filled with water – not for people suffering from claustrophobia or panic attacks. Here the risk is unjustified. In the history of active diving there have been two fatalities. Moreover, the girl-diver, who died here in 2009, was trained in a specialized school in Florida. One of the grottos of the dry part of the Orda cave is named in honor of the speleologist who tragically died while exploring underwater caves of the Arkhangelsk region – Vladimir Kiselev.
.Today, groups accompanied by experienced leaders descend equipped with the most modern equipment: underwater computers on the arm, back cameras (for balance). Underwater diving at such a difficult test site as the Ordinskaya cave requires maximum concentration, attentiveness, compliance with all safety rules. The distance from Moscow to Perm is 1440 km. It is two hours by airplane and a couple of hours by car to the village of Orda.

From Ufa to the Orda cave – 420 km. You can also take a train to the city of Kungur (by car 40 minutes from the city to the Ordinskaya cave). In this case you should definitely visit the Kungur ice cave.In the city there are hotels: “Kungur”, “Old Town”, “Irene”. You can wonderfully settle down at the base near the Ordinskaya cave.

On the initiative of the Perm Federation of Underwater Sports, the club “Nautilus” was built base. Nowadays, cozy houses, cabins, saunas, kitchen, compressor room are at the service of visitors. Carriers carry heavy equipment into the cave. A metal ladder is installed for descent. Light is brought in. In the cave are wooden benches – you can prepare for the upcoming dive.
