Olginka is a large resort village that lies on the Black Sea coast, in the valley of the Tu River and its tributary, the Kabaka River. It is located within the resort area of Greater Tuapse. Highlights

The history of the settlement began in 1864, when soldiers of the Russian Shapsug Battalion, engaged in coastal protection, began to live here. After a while, the permanent residents of Olginka became not only military, but also civilians. The settlement got its name after Princess Olga – the wife of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich Romanov.

Most of the way this picturesque river flows through forested foothills. At 3 km above Olginka in the valley of the river there is a beautiful tract Skipp, where locals and tourists like to visit.

In the resort village of Tu takes a large left tributary – the river Kabak, which has a length of 16 km. Kabak drains from the northwestern slopes of Mount Lysaya. In the valleys of the two rivers are constantly blowing cool winds, refreshing residents and guests of Olginka during the summer heat.

The central or municipal beach of the resort village of Olginka is located north of the mouth of the Tu River. It has a length of about 1 km, width up to 50 meters and is considered the best in the area of Greater Tuapse. The beach is covered with small, smoothly rolled pebbles, on which it is pleasant to walk barefoot. The descent into the water is gentle, the bottom in the coastal strip is flat and has no holes. The depth increases gradually. A large area of shallow water is perfectly warmed by the sun. This is an excellent place for swimming small children and those who do not swim well. The beach area is separated from residential development by a beautifully decorated embankment, and along its edges there are observation platforms.

It includes several outdoor and indoor swimming pools, including for children, sauna, whirlpools, a large modern fitness room, billiard rooms, laser shooting gallery, cafes, several stores and a children’s room. How to get there

Through Olginka passes the seaside highway – the federal highway M27, so it is not difficult to get here by car.

Every day through the resort village passes several intercity buses going to Tuapse, Sochi and Abkhazia from major cities – Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Anapa and Novorossiysk. Once or twice an hour through the village pass shuttle buses connecting Tuapse and other settlements of the Black Sea coast – Dzhubga, Psebe and Tenginka. Bus station in Olginka is located on the right bank of the Tu River, opposite the confluence of its left tributary – the Kabak River.

Many vacationers prefer to come by train to Tuapse and from there to get to Olginka by shuttle buses, shuttle buses or cabs. On the highway the distance between them is 27 km, and the cab passes it in 30-35 minutes. Travel by bus due to stops on the way can take up to an hour.
