Museum of Theater and Musical Art
Museum of Theater and Musical Art is a multifunctional scientific, cultural and educational complex in St. Petersburg, dedicated to the history and practice of Russian theater from its inception to the present day. The center unites 5 independent museums in historical buildings of the Northern Capital. The Museum of Theater and Musical Art has a history of more than 100 years, and its funds and collections contain more than 500,000 priceless exhibits, including the largest collection of musical instruments in Russia, paintings and graphics by Ilya Repin and Kazimir Malevich, stage costumes of Anna Pavlova and Fyodor Chaliapin, autographs of L. N. Tolstoy, A. A. Shalyapin, and others. N. Tolstoy, A. A. Blok, N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, D. D. Shostakovich, materials about many of the most important figures of Russian culture of the XVIII-XXI centuries.
