John Mostoslavsky’s private museum “Music and Time”
Museum Music and Time is located in Yaroslavl. It is the first private museum in Russia, founded in 1993 by John Grigorievich Mostoslavsky, an original genre artist and illusionist. The mansion on the Volga embankment displays bells, chimes, clocks, musical instruments, irons, samovars, music boxes, gramophones, and vintage records. The museum complex also includes a porcelain museum, as well as a museum of Kaslinsky casting and samovars. There is an organ hall, where concerts are regularly held, including concerts on ancient musical instruments. In the courtyard of the museum there is a picturesque garden with interesting plants, stones and sculptures.
