History of Creation

The idea of building an international business district in the capital, like London’s Canary Wharf or Wall Street in New York, was shared by architect Boris Ivanovich Thor with Mayor Yuri Luzhkov in 1992. This year is the starting point for the creation of a grandiose complex called Moscow International Business Center Moscow City, designed to decorate the city with skyscrapers and capable of competing with the world’s high-rise centers. Sixteen facilities are planned, but not all of them have been completed yet.

“Federation Tower” is one of the most pompous and spectacular structures in Moscow, which has no analogues in Europe in terms of height (235 meters) and design. “Federation” consists of two parts – three-sided skyscrapers “East” and “West”. Tourists here have a great opportunity to see the construction site and the capital from a bird’s-eye view – the West and East buildings are connected by a 500-meter spire with an observation elevator. The elevator brings visitors to the 62nd, the last floor of the “West” skyscraper, where there is an observation deck. The height of the “East” is even more impressive – 96 meters. The impressive size of the “Federation” is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
