Meemu Atoll

Meemu Atoll (another name for Mulaku Atoll) is one of the most romantic places in the Maldives. Here there are places where on a small island is one house, where you can stay alone with your second half and spend an unforgettable vacation. Meemu is located about 100km south of Male. The atoll is 47km long and 30km wide. It consists of about 35 islands, of which only 9 are inhabited islands, and 2 – have developed infrastructure to receive tourists and excellent opportunities for scuba diving.

General Information

There are no islands inside Meemu Atoll – they are all located on its edges! The scenery is magnificent, and here you can see at literally every turn that the Maldives is one of the most picturesque places in the world. Miyimu Atoll offers excellent diving conditions. And not only professionals can go scuba diving, but also those who are trying it for the first time. Snorkeling, or snorkeling in the coastal lagoons, is an incomparable pleasure.

One of the two hotels in the atoll is the five-star Medhufushi Island Resort. The entire hotel complex consists of four dozen separate villas of different categories. All rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. There are restaurants. One of them offers buffet service, and the second one offers exquisite local dishes. There is a SPA-center, a gym, a swimming pool, a volleyball court. Also, there is a diving center. Scuba diving lovers are sure to enjoy the local underwater life.

The second hotel in the atoll is called Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa and it is four-star, but its level is no worse than the hotel Medhufushi Island Resort. It is located on a different island. The complex includes eighty small comfortable houses: 70 bungalows and 10 wooden houses on the shore of the magnificent turquoise Indian Ocean. All rooms have TVs, air conditioners, hairdryers and many other necessary household items. Also, there is a spa, a basen and a gym. Excursions to the coral reefs are organized for guests here.
