Llorts Village

The village of Llorts is one of the most ecologically clean and least civilized places in Andorra and perhaps in the whole of Western Europe. The small village of about 100 people is set in the northern part of the country, in the middle of tobacco fields, against a backdrop of mesmerizing mountains.

General Information

This place is particularly popular with eco-tourism and hiking enthusiasts, thanks to one luxurious trail! To the west of the village, a 3 hour walk through the valley, is the famous tourist area, the picturesque mountain lakes of Estanis del Angonella. From the 1,970-meter-high Borda de Sorteni mountain, a hiking trail stretches to the Estany del Estany lakes and the 2,915-meter-high mountain, Pica del Estany. Also on the edge of the village is the La Mina de Llorts iron mine, open as a tourist attraction. Here you can learn about the iron working methods used back in the 17th and 19th centuries. By the way, the villagers also prefer walking to driving to fully enjoy the freshness and purity of the mountain air!
