Kaegon Waterfall
Kaegon Waterfall is one of Japan’s most famous waterfalls. It is located in the beautiful Nikko National Park and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The waterfall is 97 meters high and is fed by the waters of the Daiyagawa River, which originates in the east of Lake Chuzenji. Kaegon is located near the town of Nikko, which is one hundred and thirty kilometers from Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

- What makes Kagon particularly spectacular are the twelve smaller waterfalls located on the sides of the main stream. All of them also break through the solidified remnants of the lava flow. Kaegon acquired its name thanks to the Buddhist school of the same name (which, in turn, is named after one of the Buddhist sutras). Since 1930, the waterfall has an elevator.
- Kaegon Falls also has an unfortunate notoriety. The fact that this place is quite popular among Japanese teenage suicides.
