James Bond Island (Ko Tapu)

James Bond Island (or Ko Tapu) is Thailand’s most photographed attraction. Translated into Russian, its name means “island-klin” or “island-nail”. Indeed, Ko Tapu resembles the shape of a wedge or chip. Its diameter is about four meters at the bottom and about eight meters at the top, but the height is not much more than twenty meters. It is surprising how much one of the movies about Agent 007 could change the fate of the island. After all, before the release of this movie in 1974 in wide distribution not every Thai knew about Ko Tapu.
