The architectural complex of the Izmailovsky Kremlin was built where the fief lands of the tsar’s dynasty were located several centuries ago. On the bank of a large pond stood the craft workshops of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov, as well as a linen manufactory and brick and glass factories. It is known that Izmailovo was the place where the young sovereign Peter the Great found an old English boat, which laid the foundation for the glorious history of the Russian Navy.

The Palace of Russian Meals was built on the territory of the Izmailovsky Kremlin. The architects and builders who created it tried to embody in this intricate building elements of Russian architecture of the 17th century – the time when luxurious wooden palaces built for Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov stood in Kolomenskoye and Izmailovo.
The modern palace is not only beautiful from the outside, it is richly decorated inside as well. Its picturesque interiors are made in the traditions of Russian folk crafts. Here you can see skillful Khokhloma and Palekh painting, carved furniture and sculpture. And the front halls of the palace have become a traditional venue for wedding ceremonies, family holidays, birthdays and other celebrations.
