Goa Lawah Temple

Goa Lawah or the cave of the flying men, and the temple attached to it are literally occupied by souvenir shops, vendors, ATMs, fundraisers, ticket sellers and tourist buses. After overcoming all these obstacles, you will see a cave with a seething mass of bats hanging from the rock. Here and there some of them break away from the rock and, after circling, return to their original place. All the bats do not fit in the cave, so some of them hang outside in the daylight.

On the coastal strip near Goa Lavah, some locals collect salt. The sun’s rays evaporate and concentrate the water, which is then placed in the hollow trunks of palm trees to crystallize.
