Galichya Gora Reserve
Galichya Gora Reserve is the smallest reserve in the world and is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. This natural phenomenon is located in the Lipetsk region, in the center of the North Don relict botanical region, on the Central Russian Upland. The reserve consists of 6 plots with a total area of 0.23 thousand hectares. The central section is called Galichya Gora, the other clusters are Morozova Gora, Voronov Stone, Vorgolskoye, Bykova Neck and Plyushchan. The main objects of protection in the natural park are unique flora, characteristic forest-steppe communities and groups of petrophytes on outcrops of Devonian limestone. The Galichya Gora Reserve was established in 1925, and since then it unites the most valuable natural objects of the Upper Don.
