Village of Fershampenuaz

Fershampenuaz is a village that is the administrative center of Nagaybaksky District of Chelyabinsk Oblast. It is located on the Gumbake River, 60 km northeast of Magnitogorsk, 210 km southwest of Chelyabinsk. The village of the Cossacks-Nagaibaks received its original name in honor of the battle of Fer-Champenoise during the Napoleonic campaign in 1814, in which Cossack troops took part. In Ferschampenoise one can visit the Stone Museum.
