General Information

The best time to admire the waterfall is right after rain. You can reach Dudhsagar by train which departs at 8.13 am from Margao to Colem. It is worth checking the departure time of the return trip, there are only three trains a day in this direction, round trip. On the spot, you will have to hire a jeep and bump around for 40 minutes (300 rupees per person, or 1800 rupees for a six-seater jeep). The final hurdle is a short climb over rocks and you are at the Dudhsagar waterfall. There’s an easier but more expensive option – buy a day trip from operator GTDC (Rs 700; 9am-6pm Wed and Sun) from Panaji, Mapusa or Clangute (book from the Panaji office), or arrange your own tour with Day Tripper from Calangute or Speedy Travels in Anjuna.
