Curaçao Island
Curaçao Island is a self-governing state entity located in the southern Caribbean Sea off the coast of Venezuela. It is the largest of the islands of the Netherlands Antilles. Curaçao has been a federated entity within the Kingdom of the Netherlands since 2010, when the reorganization of the Antilles’ participation within the country took place. It has a land area of 444 km². The capital and largest city is Willemstad. The island of Curaçao is a duty-free zone, so, in addition to souvenir stores, tourists tend to visit the local Duty free.
