Village Bozhentsi
Bozhentsi is a compact village in Bulgaria, which is a monument of Renaissance architecture. The village is located in the Gabrovo region, on the northern slopes of the Central Stara Planina. Bozhentsi occupies an area of 7.3 km². There are 41 inhabitants. The few houses stand on both banks of the Božanka River, 750 meters above sea level.

The village of Bozhentsi is over 600 years old. It was founded by the Bolyar woman Bozhana, who in 1393 fled with her 9 sons from Veliko Tarnovo from the Ottomans.

How to get there
Boženci is located 16 kilometers east of Gabrovo. There are regular buses and shuttles from the city to the village, and cabs are also available.
