Bolaven Plato
Bolaven Plateau is a plateau located in southern Laos, 40 km from Pakse city. The plateau is located in the provinces of Sekong, Attapy, and Tiampasak. Besides beautiful nature with many rivers and picturesque waterfalls, Bolaven Plateau is famous for tea and coffee plantations where tourists like to stay. The region also boasts endless fields and pastures where thousands of pigs and cows graze. Excursions to the Bolaven Plateau usually take one day and cost in the neighborhood of $20. Travelers are usually offered a visit to 3 waterfalls, pampered with stops for Lao tea and coffee tasting, and taken to see one of the ethnic minority villages of Laos.
